About Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong

Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong is one of Asia's major fine-jewellery and gemstone trade fairs, drawing international buyers and exhibitors across both finished jewellery and upstream materials. The 2026 edition ran across two HKCEC halls over four days, splitting the show by product type — finished jewellery in one hall, loose stones and materials in another.

That two-hall structure is exactly what makes onsite registration and access control non-trivial at this scale: around 1,100 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, plus a large international buyer audience, all arriving into two separate halls with different entry rights.

The Challenge — Two Halls, One Opening-Morning Peak

Two halls carried different access permissions, so entry had to be validated per hall — not once per venue. A visitor cleared for the finished-jewellery hall is not automatically cleared for the upstream-materials hall, so access rights have to be checked at each hall entrance rather than at a single front door.

On top of that, Day-1 concentrated tens of thousands of badge collections into a narrow morning window. If badge printing stalls even briefly, the queue backs up into the concourse and pushes the delay into both halls at once.

The Result

10,000+ of attendees and exhibitors were processed across four days with continuous entry flow at both halls.

Zone permissions held per hall throughout the show, and a single consolidated dataset gave the organiser one accurate record of who entered where — with no reconciliation across two separate systems afterwards.
