What Is an Onsite Registration System?
An onsite registration system is a combination of hardware and software that processes attendee check-in at the venue on the day of an event.
The system scans pre-registered attendee barcodes or QR codes, validates them against the event database, and prints a personalised badge — typically within 5 seconds per attendee. Info Salons' Fast Track system supports QR codes, barcodes, and NFC in any orientation.
The three main onsite registration types are:
Self-registration kiosks — attendees scan their own QR code and collect their badge without staff assistance
Assisted registration desks — staff handle exceptions, walk-ins, and VIP processing
Pre-registered badge collection — fast-track lanes for pre-printed or pre-assigned badges
This applies to events with 200+ attendees. For events under 200, a single assisted desk is typically sufficient.

Onsite Registration for Walk-In Attendees
Walk-in attendees — those who did not pre-register — can complete registration onsite using a QR code displayed at the venue entrance. After completing the online form via their mobile phone, they receive a confirmation email with their QR code and proceed directly to the Fast Track counter to print their badge.
